Installation Includes

  • 1. Prior to installation a description of work to be performed.
  • 2. Installation includes the consolidation of remote controls within a single room/zone.
  • 3. Complete pre-installation survey upon arrival at home.
    • a. Check to ensure customer purchased learning/universal remote is compatible with current system.
    • b. Check to ensure the remote has enough presets, or has the capacity to program same number of
      components the customer wants to consolidate.
    • c. Inform the customer that it is possible that all features and functions of every device may not operate
      properly with remote consolidation.
  • 4. Program learning/universal remote as allowable by remote capacity using manufacturer codes, or internet
    downloads from remote manufacturer website.
  • 5. Program macro features of learning/universal remote as allowable by remote capabilities.
  • 6. Verify programming of remote. Testing includes, but is not limited to:
    • a. Proper functionality of each component.
    • b. Macro operation.
  • 7. Demonstrate features and train on basic system operation.
  • 8. Pick up debris after installation
  • 9. Review completed installation and obtain written customer satisfaction check-off.

Customer Education

    • 1. Site survey and explanation, to the customer, of the installation steps before work is started.
    • 2. Use of remote control:
      • a. Explanation of important buttons and features.
      • b. Explanation of macro settings.
      • c. Menu controls of each component.
      • d. Volume and tuning controls.
    • 3. Answer customer questions to ensure complete satisfaction.

Installation Excludes

1. Installation of new audio/video components.
2. Cable management of new/existing audio/video components.

Possible Additional Charges

      • 1. If the installation requires additional work or material beyond what the purchased package includes, the installer
        will provide an estimate prior to performing installation.
